Raszageth Down

Normal Vault of the Incarnates has been cleared.

Tonight we took down Raszageth to clear Vault of the Incarnates on Normal difficulty. That’s exactly a month after the expansion launched.

I’m not doing great DPS. I’m a tank by heart and I really don’t know Unholy. I’ve been using the add-on Helikili to help me, but I still feel I’m coming up short.

That said, I have to say that I think Raszageth has to be my favourite boss fight of all time. There’s so much going on and most of it is lethal, but it feels like a fight made for DKs.

Usually, most raid fights are ranged fights, and then when Melee can do well, it needs a lot of mobility, which as anyone who has played DK will know, the class does not have.

But we have Death’s Advance to mitigate the pushbacks. We have multi-grips to aid with the first intermission. I watch all my colleagues get thrown about all over the place while I just stand there and keep hitting on the boss.

Which makes my DPS even more disappointing.

But I finally got my 4 set tonight and went up a couple of ilevels to 387.  If nothing else that will help with tanking Mythic+

And I love that final fight. It has to be one of the best end raid bosses Blizzard have ever done. It feels suitably epic, and it is extra good to have normal done already (along with a kill on Eranog on Heroic)

From Monday we start on Heroic progression properly.  I can’t wait, and only hope that as I improve with the rotation on Unholy I can push my way up the DPS meters.
