I’m missing the command table.
Objectively, my issue is that I am trying to get ready for raiding. We’ve got a gear minimum of ilevel 365 and I’m a long way from that so doing activities to get my gear level up has been a priority for me. That’s meant a lot of farming rares, weekly events and grinding Wrathion and Cobalt Assembly reps.
And all that takes time, which means I’ve not had a chance to really make money. In fact, my biggest earners have been selling profession recipes I’ve got through fishing.
Even so, by the time you take out costs for enchants and the like, I’ve only made 18k this week. A far cry from the 100k+ a week I made from the command table.
I’d also intended to get a lot of characters levelled during my 2 week wowcation. I had intended to get 3 or 4 leveled before I returned to work and could no longer play all day, but I’m only halfway through my second character.
So in many ways, the goldmaking is off to an early fail. Part of this comes from there being so much to do early on. If I wasn’t trying to get one character raid ready, I would have had a lot more time, but I wanted to ensure that my gear level was as high as possible due to the fact that up until 24 hours ago I thought I was tanking. Less said about that, the better, as it saves a lot of guild drama and I do play this game for fun.
My only hope is that now I am geared, I’ll have more time. Sure I’ll be doing more Mythic+ but most of the people I play with are European and so are logging off by 10pm, which technically gives me a couple of hours to play on alts.
The important thing is that I am having fun with Dragonflight. My original thinking was that by now I’d be a little burned out and would settle into a more comfortable cycle of doing raids 2 nights a week, mythic+ one night, and then spend the rest of the time levelling alts for a couple of hours during the week. I’ve even purchased FF14 ready to activate as something alternative to play outside of raiding times once I get bored. But that’s not been the case, and I’m still playing my main hard.
Of course, I always say that the true judge of any expansion is the X.1 patch, but I think Dragonflgiht will be up there with Legion and MOP as some of the best WoW expansions. In fact, the main reason I bought FF14 in the Black Friday sales was because I remember how much the MOP dailies burnt me out after the first month.
I’ve decided that I need to look at this as a marathon and not a sprint. Outside my main’s raiding and Mythic+ commitments, my focus is on levelling my alts and their professions. I just need to put my head down and chip away at them. They are all now in Valdrakken (and got about half a level of XP doing so)
But let’s hope I can make more than 18k profit next week
